Sony WH Series wireless headset: Review, Specs, Features and Price

Sony has now expanded the family of Walkman headphones with two new models in the Sony WH series. However, these devices are very difficult to name just wireless headphones. In either configuration also includes a MP3-player and stereo speakers with support for xLoud and Virtual Phones.

The Sony NWZ-WH505 has 16 GB of internal flash memory type, while the Sony NWZ-WH303 got only 4 GB, which is enough to store 1000 different tracks. The device supports codecs like MP3, WMA, AAC-LC and Linear PCM.

According to the manufacturer, frequency response of model NWZ-WH505 is from 5 to 25,000 Hz, and a sensitivity index reaches 105 dB. For the younger model there are similar characteristics stated on the level of 30 – 20 000 Hz and 107 dB, respectively.

Nominal impedance of Sony NWZ-WH505 is 40 ohms, and the model Sony NWZ-WH303 – 30 ohms. On a fully charged battery when playing music, both models can work up to 20 hours. As per the values submitted by Sony both the new models in Sony WH series sounds great on the paper and their battery backup is also pretty good.
