Intel has just revealed the next generation Intel Bay Trail processor series. This new Intel processor 2013 would not only be limited to atom, rather it is including Pentium and Celeron addition, the first Atom manufactured at 22-nanometer process technology.
After Intel Haswell, now Intel going to hit the market with Intel Bay Trail, low power platform with three variants Bay Trail-I, M and D , for tablets and netbooks, laptops and convertible, and desktop computers respectively.
The most interesting of Intel Bay Trail are the new 22nm Atom which include the first with four physical cores native processing. With frequencies around 2 GHz estimated yield increased to 50-60 percent.
They will also have improved graphics performance with a new chip called ‘Intel Gen 7’ included for hardware acceleration, support for Direct X 11 API and support for large screens with resolutions of 2560 × 1600 pixels and more. This all is packed in Intel Bay Trail processors 2013.
Bay Trail is not limited to the Atom as we have discussed earlier, moreover you can also notice in the below image:
Moreover, these all Intel 2013 processors are low consumption platform from 4.5 watts TDP and a maximum of 10 watts. Very content considering that all models Bay Trail format will offer SoC with CPU, GPU and memory controller included.
The Intel Bay Trail release date is scheduled for the last quarter of 2013, stay tuned with us, we have lots more interesting news on the same subject, happy toipoing.
