HP has officially released its two new products including notebook-transformer EliteBook Revolve and tablet ElitePad 900. Both devices are focused on the corporate sector, although they may also find application in other areas.
If we talk about the notebook transformer, HP EliteBook Revolve is based on Windows 8 and it is equipped with magnesium alloy body and meets the security requirements of MIL-STD 810G. Thanks to the functional hinge, display unit can be rotated by 180 °, and a laptop is easily converted into a tablet with a 11.6-inch screen (1366×768 pixels), protected by glass Gorilla Glass.
HP EliteBook Revolve weighs only 1.4 kg and it can work without recharging for more than eight hours. The laptop is based on Intel Core processors and third generation may in addition be equipped with HDD and SSD. Communication options or I/P ports in EliteBook Revolve are impressive as it includes 3G WWAN, USB 3.0, DisplayPort, NFC, plus the traditional set of wireless modules. Also, the unit is compatible with docking stations enterprise to easily connect to an external display, keyboard, mouse, additional ports or printers. Moreover, this HP EliteBook Resolve is available for $ 1300.
Now, its turn of tablet HP ElitePad 900 also has a magnesium alloy body and physically protected by the standard MIL-spec 810G. For a 10-inch device it is quite compact (thickness of 9.2 mm, weight – 680 g), although the display by modern standards, not the most perfect (IPS with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels). The basis of the tablet is the platform Intel Clover Trail, and is able to work for 10 hours using a standard battery and 18 hours – with enhanced battery. The RAM is 2 GB flash memory – 32 or 64 GB (expandable via microSD). Optionally, the novelty will be equipped with a cellular modem with support for 3G and 4G networks. Original docking station will turn the device into almost a full desktop computer. The sales of HP ElitePad 900 will start soon in many countries at the price of $ 800.
