AMD FX-9590 processor is now a reality and fortunately today we get the chance to bring you the complete review of this processor. If we talk about this processor, it is one of the eight cores processor, operating at a frequency of 4.7 GHz and is capable of reaching up to 5 GHz due to the Turbo Mode. These frequencies are quite negative to counterpart, its high TDP and consumption, which in turn results in a greater amount of heat to dissipate.
• Piledriver architecture, family Vishera.
• Four complete + quad-core module
• Frequency of 4.7 GHz, 5 GHz in normal mode and turbo respectively.
• 8 MB of L2 cache (2MB per module).
• 8 MB of L3 cache.
• Support DDR3 up to 1,866 MHz
• TDP of 220W
• Socket AM3 +
Without further ado we will see the results shown by the new beast of AMD, starting with the synthetic tests of AMD FX-9590. As we see in the different images the results are not favorable, until we got 3D Studio Max 11, which is placed at the height of the Intel Core i7-4770K. Despite this small “victory” we conclude that the performance of the AMD FX-9590 cannot overcome, in general and in synthetic tests, the Intel Core i7 chip is giant.
We jump now to see their performance in a real environment and quite demanding, games. In these tests we see that the performance of the AMD FX-9590 has nothing to envy to the Intel Core i7-3960X. Yes, the differences are practically nonexistent.
It is time to draw conclusions and the fact is that AMD FX-9590 is not positive. This is a high end processor, but more for its price than its performance, because this processor has a price of 799 euros. Our final worlds would be like this, AMD FX-9590 is not worth the cost, since not even make a big difference to the FX-8350 whose price is around 170 euros.
